MEET THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors for the Greater Christ Temple Church serves to guide the financial and business decisions of our organization. Additionally, they are responsible for membership, event organization, logistics, and other administrative functions. In short, they keep our church working to serve you!

Bishop Curtis E. Montgomery – President & Chairman of the Board – Bishop Montgomery is the founding pastor of Greater Christ Temple and is a lifetime member of the Board of Directors. Bishop Montgomery also serves as the Diocesan of the 17th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bishop Montgomery and his wife of 50 years, Dr. Elinor Montgomery, are the parents of 10 children, grandparents to 19 and great-grandparents to 7.

Elder Prentis V. Johnson, Sr. – Vice President – Elder Johnson is the Associate Pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church and has attended since his youth. He attended Pacific Lutheran University where he starred as a tailback before graduating with his degree in Business Administration. Currently, he is employed as a Procurement Manager with the Boeing Corporation. Eld. Johnson serves as the Chairman of the PNDC Men’s Ministry and is Secretary of the Intl. Men’s Ministry of the P.A.W. Elder Johnson and his wife, Loretta, are the parents of two daughters and two sons.

Delois M. Brown – General Secretary – In addition to several professional and community endeavors, Delois Brown serves as the Corporate Secretary of Greater Christ Temple Church. Currently, Sis. Brown is the Coordinator of Health Services for the Tacoma School District, which is the 2nd largest school district in the State of Washington. She is also a licensed counselor specializing in Pediatric and Family Counseling. A Registered Nurse, Sis. Brown also holds two Masters Degrees in Psychiatric Nursing and Public Administration. She also serves as the President of the Health Care Professionals Auxiliary of the Pacific Northwest District Council. Sis. Brown is the mother of two daughters and grandmother of two.

Cheryl Montgomery – Assistant General Secretary – Cheryl Montgomery is a longtime member of Greater Christ Temple Church having attended since 1973. Currently, Sis. Montgomery is an Advertising Consultant with Qwest Dex Yellow Pages; she has worked in different capacities with Qwest for over 20 years. She also served as Regional Director for Junior Achievement, which is a non-profit entity that promotes economic education for K-12 students. She has served on many auxiliaries and departments at Greater Christ Temple Church as well as the Pacific Northwest District Council. Sis. Montgomery her husband, Daniel, are the parents of two sons.

Bernard R. Blackburn – General Treasurer – Bro. Blackburn has served as the Treasurer for Greater Christ Temple Church since 1985. Bro. Blackburn also serves on the church Board of Trustees. He has served the public since 1976 with the Tacoma Fire Department where he is currently a Deputy Fire Marshal. Bro. Blackburn and his wife, Joyce, are the parents of six children and grandparents to eight.

Deacon Daniel Montgomery – Assistant General Treasurer – Dea. Daniel serves in many capacities within Greater Christ Temple Church. After serving as President of the Youth Department for 18 years, he currently oversees all Youth Ministries as Director. After a successful career at Seract Corp., a real estate management conglomerate, Dea. Daniel started his own business, Dan’s Interiors, an interior design company that provides services throughout the United States and Canada. He is also Vice President of Curtis Transportation Services. He and his wife, Cheryl, are the parents of two sons.

Elder Michael Montgomery – Elder Montgomery is a longtime member of the Board of Directors and also serves as an Associate Elder as well as the Assistant Administrator for Greater Christ Temple Church. Elder Montgomery is also a member of the Board of Trustees. Elder Montgomery has a long record of academic achievement having received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Washington State University and his Masters in Business Administration from Seattle University. Elder Montgomery is the President and CEO of Curtis Transportation Services in Seattle.

Deacon William Roberts – Deacon William Roberts is a longtime member of Greater Christ Temple Church and has served on the Board of Directors for over two decades. Dea. Roberts is also the Head Deacon of Greater Christ Temple Church. Dea. Roberts is employed in the field of Medical Radiology as the Chief Technologist in Special Procedures at Tacoma General Hospital and Auburn (WA) General Hospital. Dea. Roberts and his wife, Mattie, who also serves as the church’s Administrative Secretary, are the parents of six children and three grandchildren.

Deacon James Shepherd – Dea. Shepherd is a longtime member of Greater Christ Temple Church and has faithfully served on its Board of Directors. Dea. Shepherd is a member of the Deacon Board, is Vice President of the Men’s Ministry and also serves on the Finance Department. Dea. Shepherd is employed as a Sr. Special Agent with the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service as well as serving his country as a member of the Washington Army National Guard where he holds the rank of Major. Dea. Shepherd and his wife, Sharon, are the parents of one son and three daughters.

Elder Larry Dugger – Eld. Dugger is a retired Gunnery Sergeant with the United States Marines Corps where he served his country over twenty years. While serving with the USMC, he provided his leadership to many churches throughout the country and the world serving in various capacities. At Greater Christ Temple Church, Eld. Dugger is an Associate Elder, serves as President of the Usher Board and is our head chef. Elder Dugger is employed as a plumber with Roto Rooter and is also owner and operator of Triple D’s Catering Service. Elder Dugger and his wife, Darletha, are the parents of three daughters and have three grandchildren.

Regas Sager – Bro. Regas is a lifelong member of Greater Christ Temple Church and has served in many capacities including President of the Youth Department and as a Christian Education Instructor. He currently serves as a member of the Trustee Board and works with the music department as a pianist/organist. Bro. Regas is employed by Dex Media as a District Sales Manager. He has a very talented wife Tillie and four children (one at home). His ambitions are to “make heaven his home and to be successful in the life that God has given him.”
